Skin Resurfacing

Skin Resurfacing can repair and neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals. The unstable chemicals that are a result of air pollution, smoking, stress and sunlight.. Years of  free radical damage breaks down the skin creating lines, wrinkles, and changes the  texture and color. Not only is the face a likely victim of these changes, but the neck, chest, cleavage, arms and hands may
be affected as well.

Skin Resurfacing is a treatment that improves wrinkles, skin texture and color by removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it more supple and vibrant. Skin Resurfacing also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance.  Skin Resurfacing treatments are non-invasive, pain-free and requires no down time after treatment.

When to use Skin Resurfacing

  • Reduction of minor to moderate early aging fine lines
  • Minor revision of scars
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Hyper pigmentation reduction
  • Reduction of acne scars
  • Rejuvenation of overall skin health
  • Age spots

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion removes dead surface skin cells and iniates cellular turnover at the dermis and epidermis levels. This improves skin elasticity, texture, color and overall appearance.

Being able to erase epidermal layers at varying depths in a controlled manor means microdermabrasion can be used to improve or eliminate many skin conditions.

  • Aging and sun damaged skin
  • Acne scarring
  • Skin pigmentation
  • Stretch marks
  • Hard to treat lip and character lines
  • Enlarged pore

Microdermabrasion is a wonderful alternative to laser or chemical peels because it is non-invasive, non-surgical and requires no down time after treatment.

Chemical Peels

Glycolic acid belongs to the group commonly referred to as alpha-hydroxy acids(AHAs). Glycolic acid is found in sugar cane, and has the smallest molecular size of all the AHAs. Therefore, it is believed to penetrate the skin more easily that other AHAs.

Glycolic acid helps to gently slough, or exfoliate, the dead cell layer which manifests fine lines and uneven skin tones. When the dead cells of the stratum corneum are removed, newer fresher skin is revealed. With continued use, the appearance of fine line diminish and pigmentation is lightened.

“For nearly a century, researchers have strained to hear the whispering sounds of cells, hoping to master the basics of their language, the language of life. In place of words, however, cells use chemicals, linking molecule to molecule to construct sentences that obey formal rules of grammar and syntax as those that govern our own spoken language.”
